Jefferies Adds TMT Specialist in Equity Capital Markets

NEW YORK, January 10, 2011 - Jefferies today announced the addition of David M. Mastrangelo as a Managing Director in the Global Equity Capital Markets Group, responsible for coverage of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sectors.

"The addition of David Mastrangelo, an experienced and highly respected capital markets banker in the TMT space, supports our strategy to deliver to our clients a world-class TMT investment banking and capital markets capability, which now includes over 80 investment bankers globally," said Benjamin D. In the last five months, Jefferies has significantly expanded its Global TMT investment banking business with the additions of Dominic Lester as a Managing Director and European Head of Technology and Telecommunications, Michael Herbst as a Managing Director and European Head of Telecommunications, Matthew Schultz as a Managing Director focused on U.S. Internet investment banking, Douglas Wendell as a Managing Director focused on U.S. Software investment banking and Michael Tedesco as a Managing Director and Global Head of Technology M&A.

Mr. Mastrangelo brings to Jefferies more than 20 years of investment banking experience. He joins Jefferies from Citigroup and its predecessor, Salomon Brothers, where he worked for the last 17 years, most recently as a Managing Director and Head of Technology and Media Equity Capital Markets and Gaming and Leisure Equity Capital Markets. Mr. Mastrangelo received his MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
