What We Are Known For

  • Global perspective. Our Autos coverage is trans-Atlantic and we work closely with global colleagues covering autos in the US, China and India to provide timely insights on global trends. This includes our ‘Plugged-in EV monthly’ covering adoption of electric vehicles around the globe & regular updates through dealership calls in trucks. Our transport coverage provides insights across the value chain with additional insights into the truck cycle.
  • Anti-Consensual. We pride ourselves on detailed stock-focused research and non-consensus calls. In mid 2025, we upgraded Michelin and downgraded Conti, arguing that the Conti spin was fully priced while Michelin, trading at trough multiples, could re-rate as agricultural, truck, and construction cycles recover into ‘26. Seeing troughing market expectations, we upgraded Stellantis to Buy in June. We also reviewed SDVs, exploring implications for OEMs & suppliers, and initiated on Transport, Auto supplier and leasing names.
  • Expert events and investor tours/access. We have been proactive around expert access to unique insights into topics such as software-defined vehicles, autonomous vehicles, fuel-efficiency, freight market dynamics and the economics of EV adoption, and have recently hosted a series of expert calls on the threat of Chinese auto suppliers entering Europe. We also hope that we’ve been helpful in providing differentiated access to management through events like our Truck tour in Charlotte.
