Fiona Huang

Fiona Huang joined Jefferies in September 2022. Prior to this, she covered European Software and Payments at Barclays. She also has prior experience working at ICP Group’s Private Equity/Real Estate division. Matthew Hose has 16 years of experience covering closed-end funds, with ten years at Jefferies. He started his career at the Financial Services Authority (FSA) before joining J.P. Morgan Cazenove’s UK Investment Trusts team.

• Alternative specialists: We cover 49 funds featuring a wide range of alternative asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, renewables, energy storage, shipping, aircraft leasing, hedge funds, specialist credit, and others.
• Fundamental valuation & thematic research: We are highly focused on the underlying valuations of portfolio assets, whereas most investment company analysts restrict their views to the overall premium/discount of the funds. We perform sub-sector deep-dives and use a wide range of approaches to anticipate NAV movements and to identify long-term secular opportunities.
