Diversity & Inclusion

Jefferies appreciates the value that diversity and differing perspectives bring to our ability to better serve our clients. We encourage diversity within our organization and support it within our communities. In an effort to foster an inclusive, diverse work environment, we have developed seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) globally. Each ERG was founded on core pillars which strive to recruit, retain and empower diverse employees, as well as promote community outreach and engagement.

Inclusive Recruiting Programs

We strive to recruit the best, most diverse talent. Held throughout the year, our symposiums are an opportunity for students, who may not have pursued a career in finance, to learn more about Jefferies early in the recruiting process for our internship programs. Our lateral recruitment programs also offer candidates who have been out of the workplace or are looking for a career change the opportunity to pursue a career in financial services.

Jefferies Career Relaunch Program: Jefferies’ Career Relaunch Program, sponsored by the Diversity Council, is a 12-week immersive program that offers participants who have been out of the workplace for at least two years the opportunity to reinvent themselves and relaunch their careers. Participants receive training focused on both professional and technical skills, support and mentorship, and develop a network and build relationships across departments.

Jefferies Equity Research D&I Career Switch Program: The Jefferies Equity Research D&I Career Switch Program offers qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and 1-5 years of research or non-research work experience, a clear path to a new fast-moving, challenging, and exciting career at Jefferies. Participants receive mentorship from senior leaders at Jefferies and engage in professional training to learn skills such as financial modeling, financial analysis, company strategy, financial outlook, and valuing securities.

Inspiring Women for Finance Symposium. Jefferies Women’s Initiative Network (jWIN) strives to recruit, retain and empower women; it is integral to focus on expanding the female presence in our Intern and Analyst classes.
