Diversity & Inclusion

Jefferies appreciates the value that diversity and differing perspectives bring to our ability to better serve our clients. We encourage diversity within our organization and support it within our communities. In an effort to foster an inclusive, diverse work environment, we have developed six Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) globally. Each ERG was founded on core pillars which strive to recruit, retain and empower diverse employees, as well as promote community outreach and engagement.

Inclusive Recruiting Programs

We strive to recruit the best, most diverse talent. Held throughout the year, our symposiums are an opportunity for students, who may not have pursued a career in finance, to learn more about Jefferies early in the recruiting process for our internship programs.

Inspiring Women for Finance Symposium. Jefferies Women’s Initiative Network strives to recruit, retain and empower women; it is integral to focus on expanding the female presence in our Intern and Analyst classes. Our New York City office hosts annual Symposiums for undergraduate women interested in learning more about the finance industry. It is an opportunity for Jefferies to inspire women to work in finance and source a talented pool of female candidates early in the process for our internship programs.

J-NOBLE Diversity Symposium. Jefferies Network of Black and Latino Employees invites diverse students to apply to spend an immersive day with us, meet professionals across Jefferies and experience a day in the life at a Global Investment Bank. Candidates also have an opportunity to participate in an accelerated interview process for our Intern class and apply for Jefferies Fellowship program.

EMEA Diversity Symposium. Our London Office hosts an annual symposium for students in the penultimate year to spend an immersive day experiencing a day in the life of a Global Investment Day. Sponsored by Jefferies Women’s Initiative (jWIN), Jefferies Ethnic Minority Society (JEMS) and Jefferies LGBTQ+ Network (jMosaic+), it is an opportunity for diverse individuals to meet with professionals at Jefferies and explore summer internship opportunities.

jVETS MBA Symposium.  As part of our veteran recruiting efforts, jVETS Jefferies Military Veterans Group) hosts an immersive event for MBA candidates with military experience to engage in a series of interactive skill-building sessions as well as the opportunity to learn what life at Jefferies is like.
