LONDON and NEW YORK, 16 February 2011 – Jefferies announced today the appointment of Zubin Ramdarshan as a Managing Director and Head of European Volatility Trading in the firm’s Global Equity Derivatives Group. Mr. Ramdarshan will be based in Jefferies’ London office.

The addition of Mr. Ramdarshan is part of the ongoing expansion of Jefferies’ sales and trading capabilities across equities and fixed income globally. The equities group, which is focused on the global sales, sales-trading, trading and research of equity securities, consists of nearly 650 professionals across U.S., Europe and Asia.
Mr. Ramdarshan brings to Jefferies more than eleven years of equity derivatives trading experience and joins the firm from Macquarie Bank, where he was Head of European Volatility Trading. Previously, he spent five years at Bear Stearns as a Senior Managing Director for Derivatives Flow Trading, and prior to that, four years at Deutsche Bank in Equity Derivatives Trading. He received a BSc (Honours) in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from The London School of Economics.
