JEFFERIES ADDS SENIOR GAMING, LODGING AND LEISURE ANALYST TO EQUITY RESEARCH

NEW YORK, May 6 2010 -- In an expansion of the firm's equity research franchise, Jefferies announced today the addition of David B. Katz as a Managing Director and Senior Equity Research Analyst covering Gaming, Lodging and Leisure companies. Mr. Katz has more than eight years of experience as an analyst following Gaming, Lodging and Leisure, and was ranked as a Runner-Up in the Gaming and Lodging category in the Institutional Investor 2009 analyst survey.

The addition of Mr. Katz complements Jefferies' research coverage of European Hotel, Gaming and Gaming Technology companies by London-based equity research senior analyst Anna Barnfather and analyst, William Birch, as well as coverage of Gaming, Lodging and Leisure credits by US-based leveraged finance research analyst John Maxwell.
