JEFFERIES EXPANDS CMBS PLATFORM

Mark Green Joins as Head of CMBS Capital Markets

NEW YORK, March 16, 2010 – Jefferies announced today the appointment of Mark Green as a Managing Director and Head of Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) Capital Markets.

William Jennings and Johan Eveland, Co-Heads of Jefferies' MBS/ABS group, commented, "With the ongoing rebound in capital markets activity, there is an even greater need and demand from our clients for innovative financing and ideas. Jefferies' MBS/ABS group includes nearly 90 professionals in the US, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong focused on the sales and trading of MBS/ABS securities. The group ranked #6 for all US MBS/ABS Issuance in 2009 and was also a top 10 bookrunner of global real estate bonds in 2009.

Mr. Green will report jointly to Messrs. Eveland, Jennings and Lorello. Mr. Green will become part of a team consisting of Joe Accurso and Lisa Pendergast who co-head CMBS Trading and Strategy and Dana Arrighi who heads CRE origination.

Mr. Green has 11 years of CMBS capital markets experience and joins Jefferies from UBS, where for four years he was a Managing Director and Head of CMBS Capital Markets. He received a MBA from Columbia Business School and is a Certified Public Accountant.
