Verena Mladek Joins in London to Cover German-Speaking Europe
"Verena Mladek's addition to our emerging markets effort underscores the global nature and presence of Jefferies' broad fixed income business, with nearly one-third of our 25-person emerging markets team based in London," commented Tim Cronin, Global Head of the Fixed Income Division at Jefferies. In a joint statement, Charles Cortellesi and Erich Bauer-Rowe, Co-Heads of Jefferies' Emerging Markets Group, added, "We are very pleased to welcome Verena to our global emerging markets team. Her deep product experience, market knowledge and proven relationships will add immediate value to Jefferies' established emerging markets sales and trading effort."
This announcement further demonstrates Jefferies' growing strength in fixed income, where the Firm now has more than 400 professionals globally who are focused on the sales and trading of investment grade corporate bonds, high yield bonds, government and agency securities, repo finance, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, municipal bonds, whole loans, leveraged loans, distressed securities and emerging market debt.
Ms. Mladek joins Jefferies from Dresdner Kleinwort, where she worked for more than eight years in Fixed Income Emerging Markets Sales. Previously, she worked at Raiffeisen Zentralbank (RZB) in Fixed Income Emerging Markets Trading. Ms. Mladek received a MS in Mathematics from Technische Universitaet, Wien.
