NEW YORK, October 5, 2006 -- Jefferies & Company, Inc., the principal operating subsidiary of Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF), today announced that Patrick J. Curry has joined as a Managing Director in the Industrials Group of the firm's Investment Banking Division. Mr. Curry will lead the firms efforts in the building products industry and has more than 12 years of experience, most recently as an Executive Director focusing on building products and materials in the Global Industrial Group at UBS, where he worked for the past 10 years.

Jefferies established its dedicated Industrial practice in 2003. In 2005, the Firm completed nearly 40 industrial transactions, valued at $7.9 billion. The group provides a full suite of advisory and capital markets capabilities to clients across a number of sectors, including autos and transportation, building products, capital goods, chemicals, diversified industrials, electrical equipment, environmental services, flow control, machinery, metals, paper and forest products, packaging, power and industrial technology, and security.
As an investment banker, Mr. Curry has broad experience working with corporate clients and investors on advisory and capital markets transactions with well known industrial companies including Formica Corporation, Atrium Companies, Knoll, Euramax International, Allied Waste and Esterline Technologies.
Previously, Mr. Curry served in progressive roles in the Global Industrial Group at UBS, where he began working at PaineWebber in 1996 prior to that firm's acquisition. Mr. Curry began his business career in the auditing practice at Coopers & Lybrand, L.L.P. He received a BS in Business Administration from Drexel University.
Mr. Curry will be based at Jefferies' New York headquarters.
