(NYSE: JEF), today announced that James Perillo has joined the firm's Bonds Direct Division to lead the mortgage-backed securities business. Mr. Perillo is a 20-year industry veteran most recently responsible for mortgage-backed securities trading at Piper Jaffrey & Co. Lee Fensterstock, Managing Director of the Bonds Direct Division of Jefferies, said, "We are excited to have hired an individual of the caliber of Jim Perillo and look forward to an expanded presence in the mortgage-backed securities business."
