Quarterdeck Investment Partners was founded in 1992 and has been dedicated to providing knowledge-driven investment banking services to clients exclusively within the related aerospace, defense, information technology, government services and space marketplaces. In March of 2001, Quarterdeck entered into a broad strategic alliance with Jefferies when the firm purchased a minority stake in Quarterdeck. The relationship was further expanded in April 2002 through the creation of Jefferies/Quarterdeck, LLC. Quarterdeck was named "2002 Boutique Middle-Market M&A Firm of the Year" by Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor, and was acquired by Jefferies in December 2002 and now operates as the aerospace, defense, and federal IT investment banking division of Jefferies & Company, Inc.
