Jefferies Quarterdeck has grown dramatically during the past year, boasting a staff of more than 30 dedicated professionals - the largest Aerospace, Defense and Federal IT-focused industry group on Wall Street. Jefferies Quarterdeck stands out from other Wall Street firms due to the diversity of backgrounds within our team.   David Baxt is a Managing Director and Head of Jefferies' Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking Group, Jefferies Quarterdeck. Based in the Firm's New York office, Mr. Baxt provides leadership for the Firm's aerospace, defense, federal IT and homeland security offerings. With over fifteen years of finance and industry expertise, he has successfully completed aerospace and defense transactions totaling more than $100 billion in value for high profile companies, including DRS, L3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, General Dynamics and Cobham PLC. Previously, Mr. Baxt was a senior managing director and co-head of aerospace and defense investment banking at Bear Stearns. He graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

  Hisham Barghout is a Managing Director at Jefferies Quarterdeck, the Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking Group at Jefferies. Mr. Barghout joined the firm in October 2004 and works in the Los Angeles office with a focus on the homeland security and defense electronics sectors. During his 13 years in investment banking, he has worked on over $8 billion in financings for companies such AboveNet, Finisar, Harmonic, Vitesse, REMEC, SDL and Xircom. He has also worked on M&A transactions for companies including Compass Aerospace, CyTerra, JDS Uniphase and SafeView. Previously, Mr. Barghout was a Director at CIBC World Markets in the Technology Group with a focus on the communications equipment sector. Prior to joining CIBC, he worked with Goldman Sachs in New York where he focused primarily on financial institutions. Mr. Barghout received a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles.

  Paul Edwards is a Managing Director at Jefferies Quarterdeck, the Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking Group at Jefferies. Based in the London office, Mr. Edwards has over fifteen years of aerospace and defense industry experience, and is responsible for developing European and transatlantic business. Prior to joining the firm, he was Vice President for Strategic Development at Smiths Group Aerospace, serving on the board and responsible for acquisitions and strategic planning. In addition to his involvement in a number of merger discussions, Mr. Edwards oversaw seven acquisitions costing over $400 million. Earlier, he was Vice President for Business Development (civil division) at Smiths' office in Florida. He also served various roles at British Aerospace Defense, including head of strategy and business analysis. Mr. Edwards received an MBA from Cranfield Business School and a BS from the University of Manchester.

  Jonathan ("Jon") Nemo is a Managing Director at Jefferies Quarterdeck, the Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking Group at Jefferies. Mr. Nemo is based in the New York office and is focused on the commercial aerospace, defense and government services sectors. Prior to joining Jefferies in 2008, Mr. Nemo spent approximately 13 years in the Investment Banking Group at CIBC World Markets, where he was most recently a Managing Director in the Industrial Growth Group focused primarily on the aerospace & defense and transportation & logistics industries. In addition, he had primary responsibility for the coverage of several of the CIBC's most important financial sponsor clients. Prior to joining CIBC's Industrial Growth Group in 2002, Mr. Nemo was a member of CIBC's Technology Investment Banking Group, where he focused on opportunities in the wireless and wireline communications equipment sectors. During his career, he has completed over 70 investment banking transactions representing approximately $10 billion of mergers and acquisitions and financings. Recently, Mr. Nemo has worked on M&A assignments for companies including Axletech, iDirect Technologies, Integrated Aerospace, Jacobson Companies, Primus, Southern Air, TRAK Communications and Tri-Star Electronics. He also has extensive experience executing public and private bank, bond, convertible and equity financings. Mr. Nemo received a BA from the University of Michigan.

  Linda Maxwell is a Chief Strategist in the Los Angeles office at Jefferies Quarterdeck, the Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking Group at Jefferies. In her nine-year tenure with the firm, Ms. Maxwell has led numerous deal teams resulting in over thirty successful deal closings. She has vast experience dealing with various types of M&A activity with both private and public company transactions in the aerospace and defense marketplace. Former clients include the majority of the world's largest aerospace and defense prime contractors: Boeing, General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon. The foundation of her success stems from leveraging fifteen years of industry experience with Raytheon Company (formerly Hughes Aircraft Company) in which she held an array of managerial positions that spanned technical, program management and corporate functions. Ms. Maxwell received both an MS in Mechanical Engineering and a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as an MBA from Harvard University.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schofield spent nine years in the M&A practices of both Ernst & Young and PwC in Birmingham and latterly in London. His experience extends across private equity, public company and private company transactions –the majority of which have been in the aviation or defense sectors. Mr. Schofield trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the PwC legacy firm Coopers & Lybrand after receiving a BA (Honors) from the University of Nottingham.

In his four year tenure with the firm, Mr. O'Geen has closed several transactions in the international aerospace and defense and government IT services industries. He has completed M&A and capital markets transactions with various public and private clients including General Dynamics Corporation, Essex Corporation, Esterline Technologies, Computer Sciences Corporation and AAR Corporation, among many others. Previously, Mr. O'Geen worked in the Investment Banking Group at Banc of America Securities in Chicago where he was involved in various M&A and capital markets transactions. Mr. O'Geen received a BS from Vanderbilt University.
